In connection with the Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 Anniversaries, the Partnership for Public Service hosted a press conference with Comptroller General David Walker to announce the release of the Government Accountability Office’s summary report of his Hurricane Katrina work to date, including new recommendations to improve government disaster preparedness and response. GAO also released new findings on the status of levee repairs in New Orleans and the tracking of federal Katrina relief funding.
